Dr. George Tiller

WICHITA, Kan. Prosecutors are opposing a change of venue for the trial of the man who has publicly admitted killing Dr. George Tiller to save "unborn children." Court documents made public Friday in the case against Scott Roeder argue defense attorneys have offered no evidence to support their request for a change of venue for his Jan. 11 trial.  

4. Obama, the media, and many liberals portrayed the town hall attendees as right-wing extremists associated with the insurance companies. One of the first acts of the Obama administration was to label pro-lifers as right-wing extremists and possible terrorists .  

Athough Roeder and Hasan acted alone, each had roots in larger organizations. We now know Hasan had contacts with Al Qaeda months ago . Roeder associated with the 1990's anti-government group the Freeman and subscribed to Prayer and Action News , which unjustly defends homicide in response to abortion.  

Back in June, liberal columnists at the New York Times lined up to link conservative talkers Bill O'Reilly, Glenn Beck, and Rush Limbaugh to James von Brunn, the 88-year-old man who killed a security guard at the Holocaust Museum, and the murder by Scott Roeder of abortionist George Tiller. Columnists Paul Krugman and Judith Warner both weighed in on June 12. Krugman's "The Big Hate" blamed Fox host Bill O'Reilly's rhetoric ("Tiller the baby killer") for the Tiller murder, as well as Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh, for contributing to the dangerously toxic atmosphere.  

Pro-choice groups are freaking out because Nancy Pelosi and other Democrats in the House "sold out" by tacking the last-minute Stupak amendment, which prevents federally-subsidized insurance plans from covering abortions , to the healthcare bill. It's easy for the punditocracy to now conclude that the abortion issue will become one big roadblock to reform as the bill heads to the Senate. However, I'm not convinced that that's the correct interpretation.  

When the majority of the House of Representatives is pro-life you know your position cannot be on the fringe. Pro-abortion Republicans have been replaced by pro-life Republicans or Democrats, that tells you something about the electorate. Even Hollywood is realizing that being pro-life isn't an extremist position.

The wingnuts, of course, are out for blood following the shooting. Predictably, they're going after Muslims , under the presumption that the suspect, Army psychiatrist Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan was acting out of incitement from Islam. If that turns out to be true --- and there's no actual evidence to support that at this time, as far as I know --- I'd agree that any person or persons who would incite such violence should be held accountable.

Who I wanted to kill was every Democrat in the Senate & House, the 100 people in Bernard Goldberg's book. ... I couldn't get to the generals & high ranking officers of the Marxist movement so I went after the foot soldiers, the chickenshit liberals that vote in these traitorous people. EBay has removed an auction posted by supporters of Scott Roeder, the man charged with the May murder of abortionist George Tiller. The listing featured graphic prison art celebrating the murder, and was an effort to raise money for Roeder's legal defense. The Kansas City Star first reported the auction, and TPM Muckraker captured the series of images: a drawing of Tiller beheaded, and several of the grave stones of aborted babies.
